Catherine Porter is a Social Worker with over 21 years of experience in Child Protection, both in the UK and Australia. Catherine has significant experience of working with young people who have been impacted by sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, problematic sexualised behaviour, family violence, and mental health concerns. Catherine is trained in forensic interviews of children and sex offenders.  Catherine is also trained in complex and developmental trauma, Theraplay based practice (Attachment Based Play Therapy), EMDR (Level 1 and 2), and working with people experiencing disordered eating. Cath works from a holistic, strengths based view and is available for assessments, and therapeutic work with children and adults. 

 Cath is also trained in the Crowell Procedure and Working Model of the Child Interview for family assessment and can complete Child Protection, family services agencies, and private Family Law assessments. Cath can provide training packages and consultation to agencies to assist in complex cases and upskilling the workforce. Cath is an AASW accredited Social Worker, an approved practitioner with the Australian Centre for Eating Behaviour, and trained practitioner in EMDR.  Cath is also a Regulation 7 Consultant for the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and is available for private reports.
